Ram Nagappan

Ram Nagappan is a seasoned technologist, strategist, author, and investor, currently serving as an Independent Strategic Advisor and Investor at Kickfinity Group, where he supports and cultivates early-stage ventures with his deep industry insight and leadership.

He brings over three decades of IT leadership notably as former CIO at BNY Mellon Pershing where he led the development of groundbreaking wealth management platforms including NetX360, NetXInvestor, and NetXServices, transforming advisor and client experiences.

Earlier in his career, Ram built pioneering systems: the first market-making platform outside an exchange floor, high-throughput trading systems, and the first online brokerage platform (PC Financial Network), setting benchmarks across capital markets.

A recognized innovator, Ram was the first technology executive to receive BISA’s Circle of Excellence Award, underscoring his transformational industry contributions.

Beyond his executive and advisory work, he’s also an author, a compelling speaker on technology and leadership, and a mentor actively engaged with entrepreneurial communities like TiE and extending his support through the American Tamil Entrepreneurs Association (ATEA).

Ram holds a Bachelor’s in Electronics & Communications Engineering from Anna University, and has completed executive programs at the Wharton School (SIFMA Securities Industry Institute), NYU, and Harvard.
