Jeffrey Alston

Jeffrey Alston, EdD, is a Managing Associate at Diversified Search Group | Storbeck Search, where he plays a pivotal role in executive searches for academic institutions, including presidents, provosts, deans, and vice-presidents. He joined in September 2021 as a Senior Associate and was promoted over time reflecting his expertise and leadership.

Before entering executive search, Jeffrey served as Director of University Career Services at East Tennessee State University, where he guided students in career placement and institutional collaborations.

Prior to that, he was Associate Director of Employer Relations & Internships at SUNY Brockport, helping bridge academic and employer partnerships.

‍

Earlier in his career, Jeffrey held HR leadership roles at Family Dollar Stores and the Baltimore Convention Center, where he developed experience in recruitment, employee relations, and organizational development.

He holds a Doctor of Education (EdD) in Educational Administration from the University of Rochester, an MBA from Morgan State University, and a BA in Business Management from Winston-Salem State University.

‍

Outside of work, Jeffrey enjoys exploring the arts, local culture, entertainment, and dining in the Washington, D.C. area. He’s also a committed member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
