
Dr. Anna Tavis
Dr. Anna Tavis is the Chair of the Human Capital Management Department at the NYU School of Professional Studies, where she leads graduate programs focused on the future of work, people analytics, executive coaching, and human capital strategy.
She also serves as Director of the NYU Coaching Innovation Lab, advancing research and dialogue at the intersection of leadership, coaching, and emerging technologies.
With a career spanning academia and global industry, Dr. Tavis has held senior leadership roles at Motorola, Nokia, United Technologies Corporation, and AIG Investments, where she led global talent management, organizational development, and learning initiatives.
Before joining NYU, she also taught at Columbia University, Williams College, and Fairfield University, bringing a unique blend of executive experience and academic scholarship to her work.
An internationally recognized thought leader on the future of work, Dr. Tavis is the co-author of Humans at Work and The Digital Coaching Revolution. Named to the Thinkers50 Radar and recognized among the Top 100 Global Influencers in People Analytics, she is a frequent keynote speaker on AI, workforce transformation, leadership, and the evolving role of human capital in the digital age.
