Alexander Grijalva is Chief Information Security Officer at VillageCare, where he leads the organization's cybersecurity, information security, privacy, and risk management strategy. 

With more than 30 years of experience spanning the financial services, retail, and healthcare sectors, he has built and led enterprise security, business continuity, disaster recovery, and governance programs that strengthen organizational resilience in an increasingly complex digital landscape.

A recognized expert in healthcare cybersecurity, Alexander is a frequent speaker and educator on cyber risk, AI governance, privacy, and regulatory compliance. 

His work has been featured at leading industry forums, including the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA), the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), and other national conferences. He also holds respected industry certifications from ISC2 and ISACA, reflecting his deep expertise in information security and risk management.

Beyond his executive leadership, Alexander is an Adjunct Instructor at the NYU School of Professional Studies, where he teaches graduate courses in information security, strategic technology management, and organizational risk. He also teaches cybersecurity and HIPAA privacy at other leading academic institutions, helping prepare the next generation of technology and security leaders through a practical, real-world approach to cybersecurity education.
