Armando Benitez

Armando Benitez is the Global Head of AI at BMO Capital Markets, where he leads AI strategy and implementation across the firm's global operations. His work focuses on scaling AI capabilities, improving decision-making, and driving innovation across financial services.

With extensive experience in artificial intelligence, data science, and quantitative engineering, Armando has played a key role in building BMO's AI and data capabilities since joining in 2016. Previously, he developed machine learning solutions for fraud detection and recommendation systems at Paytm and conducted high-energy physics research at CERN.

Armando holds a Ph.D. in Particle Physics from Michigan State University and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Universidad de los Andes. He brings together scientific research, technical expertise, and strategic leadership to advance responsible AI adoption in capital markets
